Maintenance

Floor maintainers are recommended to be used for added protection to the Emulsion Floor Dressing. Dust control floor areas first by using a microfibre dust control sweeper. Damp mop floor areas that require mopping with your chosen maintainer, which will leave the floor clean and protected. Buff the floor if you require a higher gloss finish using a high speed machine. Spray buff or spray clean traffic areas with your maintainer and high speed machine which will repair the floor surfaces to a high gloss finish. When floors require a cleaner and fresher appearance, scrub the floor with your maintainer by using a slow speed machine, pick up dirty solution with a wet pick-up machine or a mopping system. Then mop over a stronger solution of your maintainer. When dry, buff the floor with your high speed machine to achieve a floor dressing appearance. It is recommended that automatic scrubber dryers combined with a maintainer are used for daily maintenance in the larger public sectors. Make sure you have chosen the correct grade floor pad for buffing, spray buffing and spray cleaning, as you can damage the Emulsion Dressing which is very costly in labour and product. Providing the above system is adhered to, removing Emulsion Floor Dressing and reapplying, should be reduced considerably.

Inspection
Regular inspection is necessary to ensure the floor is kept to a high standard. Get to know the problem areas; Traffic lanes, doorways, lift entrances, street entrances and exit etc. These areas will need extra attention. Training staff correctly on maintenance operations is very important. Also the right equipment must be available to do the job efficiently.
